John Conyers, Jr. -- The Downing Street Memo

Congressman Conyers, a democrat from Michigan, has already gathered the signatures of nearly 100 congressmen/women in response to the Downing Street memo, which indicates that the determination to go war been made by the summer of 2002. My own experience in Washington during that period would also lead me to the same conclusion. He is now seeking 100,000 signatures of U.S. citizens that he promises to personally deliver to the White House.
Gven the Republican majority, not to mention the support of many Democratic representatives for the war, the most that Conyer's effort can do is keep the Bushies on the defensive. On the other hand, given the manipulation and fabrications of the adminstration, the U.S. public certainly deserves a straight answer. Therefore, the Conyer's effort deserves my support, and yours too.
