Sandy Berger, Clinton's National Security Advisor and until recently a foreign policy advisor to John Kerry, has been appropriately pummelled in the media for his stupid and sloppy handling of highly classified documents bearing on the 9-11. Kerry quickly distanced himself from Berger as though Berger had been sprayed by a fat skunk.
Republican Senator Shelby's misstep is more mundane. He simply walked out a hearing a whispered very sensitive secrets in the ear of FOX and CNN correspondents.
Both incidents illustrate top dogs in Washington pay loose with state secrets.
