Important New Report from the National Intelligence Council
President George W. Bush dismissed the new NIC report as "somewhat speculative" in his interview with the Washington Post. One can understand why the president would want to minimize the impact of the detailed 119 page report, which draws on extensive research and consultations with a variety of respected scholars, and concludes that Iraq has become a breeding ground for terrorists. The Christian Science Monitor offers a useful summary of press coverage of the report.
