Mystery of the Islamic Scholar Who Was Barred by the U.S.

Tariq Ramadan is in the vanguard of a collection of western-based Muslim intellectuals who are redefining what it means to be a Muslim in a western society. The denial of a visa to Ramadan remains unexplained, but if the intent was to deny him voice, the effort has certainly failed in that his reputation has only been buttressed and his prominence underlined.
