Accusations are pinching the head of the Lebanon GSS
Lebanon's top security chief hit back at accusations of his involvement in the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri by announcing he will ask that a law suit be brought against himself in order to establish the truth. At a specially convened news conference, Major-General Jamil Sayyed, director general of the Lebanese Surete General, said: "I have decided to become a civil party to the case, in my name and those of the other heads of security, in order to bring together all the accusations of involvement, cover-up, negligence or other factors raised by different Lebanese figures."
