The Land of Not So Free Speech: Silencing Dissent on Israel

One of the most articulate voices in the U.S. that challenges the lock-step relationship of the U.S. and Israel, especially during the Bush43 era, belongs to Tony Judt of NYU. He wrote a very widely debated article in the New YorkReview of Books, and a more recent article in the London Review of Books. What this article reports are the strenuous efforts that have been made to silence him by self-appointed defenders of Israel. The corrrespondence between their actions, and the arguments made in the Walt-Meirsheimer paper are obvious.
