Iraqi officials say deaths of Iraq civilians total at least 100,000 and perhaps 150,000

AN371/771 Political Anthropology: "Iraqi official: War dead 100,000
Note: this figure is based on bodies brought to morgues and hospitals and does not take account of bodies buried without official registration. Some reports indicate that morgue officials charge for a death certificate, so poorer people would just go ahead and bury their dead.

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Iraqi official: War dead 100,000: 'Iraq's health minister says between 100,000 and 150,000 civilians have been killed in the war, far more than other previously accepted figures.'"
