The early indications are that that the U.S. will seek to continue to isolate and impoverish Gaza while attempting to buttress a "moderate"," non-Islamist ediface in the West Bank. No doubt, more suffering is in store for wretched Gaza, but the continuing U.S. pursuit of a black and white, good vs. bad approach to Palestine is more likely to further undermine Mahmoud 'Abbas rather than strengthen him.
