Talks between Syria and Israel have been underway for about a year. There is little doubt the White House has signalled its lack of enthusiasm to Israel, in keeping with its attempt to ostracize misbehaving states, but Israel seems to have plugged on nonetheless. It is no secret that Bashar has been ready to dance.
