Turkey and the political turmoil that may wait ahead

This ruling may well be the harbinger of a Turkish high court ruling to ban the ruling AK Party, and its leader Recip Erdogan, from politics. The court voted 7-4 to overturn the new law permitting students to wear head scarfs on college campuses. / World - Turkish court upholds headscarf ban: "he headscarf ruling, made under intense political and public scrutiny, said two constitutional amendments passed by parliament in February allowing the headscarf on campus were in breach of other articles of the constitution declaring Turkey to be a secular republic.
