Hitting on women in Cairo

There are several noteworthy aspects of this piece: the indirect evidence of the incremental Islamicization of public space in Egypt, the sexist and paternalistic attitudes that many Egyptian men regularly display toward women, and the harassment often inflicted on women, even those who are veiled. I have certainly heard Egyptian professional women of accomplishment, who happen to be unveiled, complain of the hazards of going about their business in public space.

Your notes are definetly true! my wife -who is unveiled, experience the same attitudes you describe, and sometime from women, not only men!!! society standards in Egypt are going down the drain...
