Trials begin for scores in Turkish plot
One of the intended victims of the plot was the renowned Turkish businessman, Ishak Alaton, who happens to be Jewish. Alaton has been an active advocate of political reform in Turkey. His business partner Uzeyir Garih was murdered under bizarre circumstances in 2006.
