America's Cavalier President

The World Newser: "BUSH: One of the major theaters against al Qaeda turns out to have been Iraq. This is where al Qaeda said they were going to take their stand. This is where al Qaeda was hoping to take -

RADDATZ: But not until after the U.S. invaded.

BUSH: Yeah, that's right. So what?"

The only response I can think of is as follows: Someone threw a shoe at you on international television, so what! Someone embarrassed you and committed one of the most disrespectful acts against you (and your country, which you represent), so what…
Bush and Cheney have angered many in the Middle East. Starting from Iraq to Lebanon’s Hezbollah debacle in 2006, but as Bush and Cheney say, “so what?” I hope they have a justifiable claim for their decisions which today seem disastrous failures. At the end of the day, history would be the judge on these past eight years. If one thing if for sure, however, it would be more than the two words, “so what…”.
