Fair comment indeed and one that is reflected in informed writing elsewhere. That said there seems to be a disconnect - unintentional I am sure - between Israeli strategic and military intentions in Gaza and other troubling consequences such as the evidence of overuse and misuse of military materiel. I speak about the use of white phospherous especially when delivered as an air burst; the reported use of fleshette delivered munitions;numerous incidents of human rights abuses and the reported use of munitions whose wound effects defy treatment. These incidents move the issue into the realms of 'war crime' and call into question core issues about Israels very nature. Is it not time we called a spade a spade.
