Fatah maintains an edge over Hamas, but Hamas has gained in general as a result of the Gaza war. Mahmoud 'Abbas holds a two point advantage over Ismail Haniyeh, whereas he held a ten point lead prior to the war in Gaza. One revealing piece of data shows that Hamas is actually more popular in the West Bank than in Gaza.
